You’re looking at approximately 250 – 500 Baht depending what drinks you would like in your bucket. Coke, Thai Red Bull, and alcohol is one example of a bucket and a couple of these will get you very drunk. Recommendation is not to start too early on the buckets as you may not get to see the sunrise.
• This goes without saying but don’t bring an expensive camera.
• Wear appropriate footwear and defiantly don’t go bear foot as your asking for an injury. You may come across broken glass and other sharp objects so don’t end your night early due to needing first aid.
• Don’t get in to bed with your neon paint still on as hotels will give you a fine as it’s difficult to get out of the sheets.
• It goes without saying but don’t leave your drink unattended and avoid drinking out of the communal buckets.
• Stay hydrated especially leading uptown the full moon party. Drink plenty of water before and during the event. This will also help with the hangover the next day.
• One tip I was given by a was stock up on and electrolyte beverages called Royal D, have one before I head out drinking and one when I return just before bed and it will help reduce the likelihood of a handover. I live by this every time I visit the islands. You can purchase these in most 7-11 and come in a powder form you mix with water, they actually taste nice too.
